WAY TO SPACE

“Way to Space” is a concert stage design inspired by the visual of Earth from space. The idea comes from the thin blue atmospheric rim seen along the planet’s edge. The stage is designed to create an infinite visual experience, as if the performance is extending toward the Earth’s horizon. “Way to Space” creates a strong visual performance where the stage itself becomes part of the storytelling. The elevated Earth-limb platform clearly establishes the lead singer as the focal point, while the lower curved surface allows dancers and musicians to activate the space dynamically. The lighting and translucent edges successfully build a cosmic atmosphere, giving depth and a sense of infinity to the performance. The design is visually powerful but depends heavily on lighting and projection to achieve its full impact. The scale and height create a strong hierarchy, though performer visibility and connection with the audience at different levels need careful consideration. Overall, the project is conceptually clear and expressive, with potential to become more effective through refinement of spatial interaction and human scale, strengthening the spatial depth of the installation and connecting the stage with the landscape.
